I know it is oftentimes the women who focus on holding the family relationships together. And I know with so many demands pulling you in multiple directions, it can be extremely difficult to find the time and energy for it all. Early on in my practice I met a Mom who was working full-time, raising two kids, and married to a husband who often traveled for his job. At the time of contact, her tween was having almost daily meltdowns and arguments over homework…and unfortunately, the meltdowns could last for hours. The tween was arguing daily with her younger brother and parents, making life in the household miserable for everyone. After spending time with me in both individual therapy sessions and family therapy sessions, the tween was able to decrease her outbursts as well as her anxiety levels. She has grown into a teenager who people want to be around and is even able to share about the “boy drama” with her mom. The family was able to implement strategies to make the homework process run more smoothly. And Mom has more patience now and is able to take some deep breaths before reacting to situations. The family is able to enjoy each other’s company again.

My passion is helping kids feel happier in their lives and get along with their families. You do not have to continue struggling with this alone. I have helped hundreds of families like yours over the last 15 years.

I am delighted you have found me. I look forward to meeting you and your family and supporting you on this journey of bringing peace and connection back into your home.

Warmly,
Amy Powell
